Extend safety, dairy scheme deadlines: ICMSA
He said that the short timeframe to complete works is forcing farmers to finish the work in a hurry — in direct contradiction to the objective of the scheme itself, which is to farm safely.
The short timeframe is also driving up costs unnecessarily, said the ICMSA President, who was backing demands from 17 EU members states for the 2007-2013 CAP Rural Development Plan deadline to be extended by six months to June 30, 2016.
