Cattle supplies to the factories have recovered to near the leveld of early March.
Beef market report: Kill recovers, but 2,500 head less than last year

Quoted prices for this week are showing slight improvement, with processors seeming to be very anxious to get cattle in, and conceding 3-5 cents/kg over quoted prices, in order to get supplies.

The base quoted range for steers is 410-415 cents/kg, with a higher percentage of stock being purchased at the upper end of the price range this week.
