Producer organisations ‘can help beef sector’

Producer organisations could help the beef sector to rebalance the negotiating power along the supply chain.

They could also provide greater supply assurance to producers and processors, conscious of the importance of existing market organisations.

Minister of State Tom Hayes made the comments in Dublin yesterday when he opened the International Conference of Producer Organisations for fruit and vegetables.
