27 acres in strong dairying area of Donoughmore

Situated in mid-Cork and only 1.5km from the Kerry Road, near the village of Donoughmore, is a 27-acre holding laid out in what agent Daniel Fleming, in Blarney, describes as “young grass” (recently re-seeded).

The residential holding enjoys great road frontage and is within 10km of three national primary routes, so access is favourable.

The entire holding can be sold as one, or it may be split into a number of lots, depending on the nature of offers over the coming weeks.

The land is laid out in one field divided into paddocks and there is no wastage of space, with all areas carefully cultivated and ready-to-go, including a range of outbuildings and slatted units, which are all in good condition.

The house, according to Mr Fleming, is “habitable, but in need of upgrading to more modern standards.”

Accommodation comprises a sitting room, kitchen and entrance hall, as well as four bedrooms.

Like the land, the house has its own private supply of pure Irish water, as well as a septic tank and oil-fired central heating.

Although it’s not officially within the Golden Vale, it is in an area of strong dairying pedigree, located just 1.5km from the famous traditional “butter route”.

“Donoughmore is an exciting farming area,” says Mr Fleming, “because there’s a major amount of exceptionally good young farmers there.”

Bearing all that in mind, it’s reasonable to expect that dairy farmers, in particular, will be first in line with offers for this golden opportunity.
