The recent sanctions imposed by Russia on European Union agriculture producers have the potential to negatively affect incomes in the farm sector in Ireland.
EU ‘must send Russia a signal that it cannot hurt Europe’s farmers’

That’s the view of European Parliament member Seán Kelly, who said there must be rapid, strong and clear mitigating measures put in place to aid farmers at risk.

These must not just be for fairness, but also to send a strong signal to Vladimir Putin that he cannot hurt Europe’s farmers.
