Recent reports confirm that Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney is to challenge the €180m fine being threatened by the EU Commission on ineligible land overclaims.

This relates to the CAP Single Farm Payment scheme which is 100% funded by Brussels and is a critical part of farm income. However, this misses the key point that the whole process is unjust in the first place.
