Upskilling fund targeted at entrants to dairy farming
He also announced a milk quota allocation of 100 litres to all new entrants to dairying who can demonstrate a supply agreement with a registered milk purchaser, to legitimise their milk collection before the March 31 end of EU milk quotas, and enable them to exploit spring grass for milk production.
Recent entrants who commenced milk deliveries after April 1, 2008, will be helped with financial management upskilling on ihow to calculate milk production costs, do farm budgets, and manage cash flow.
