Following excellent growth in April and May, most farmers have a good supply of grass, and the task now is to maintain grass quality and get under-grazed or damaged paddocks back into shape.

Farmers must adhere to the principles of good grassland management for the remainder of the year. This means providing as much high-quality grass as possible for the mid-season grazing season, when most of the milk is produced.
