A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by a dairy farmer who was looking for a contract rearer to take over the rearing of his heifers.

I was surprised to find that, even after a plethora of phone calls to beef and suckler farmers, no potential rearer was available.

After a long stint online, my search for a contract rearer finally met with a solution.
