Lake comes free with attractive property

It includes a five-acre lake, in its total of 44 acres, and the land at Currahly, Ballingeary, Macroom, Co Cork, isn’t bad, says selling agent, Killian Lynch.

The property, which is four miles from the Gaeltacht village and 15 miles west of Macroom, is on the market in one lot, and carries a total guide price in excess of the present offer of €150,000 on the land. It is a non-residential sale, with lapsed planning for a dwelling on the farm, which comes with excellent road frontage on its southern side. In fact, there are 39 acres on one side of the road, and the remainder is the lake.

The land is undulating, all in grass, with some very good grazing in parts, say Lynch, and suitable for cattle and sheep. He’s open to offers from interested parties, and says it’s ideal for an expanding farmer or could even be sustainable on its own.
