Ireland will return 11 MEPs to the next Parliament, which will have more wide-reaching powers.

Ironically, just as Ireland loses one of its representatives, those who are elected will have a greater influence on EU policy and legislation. This will be important for agriculture as the impact of the CAP Reform is felt.
