Many farmers find it necessary to take preventative measures throughout most of the grazing season, especially in cold wet weather.

There are obvious losses occur when cows go down or die. But more widespread losses occur from sub-clinical magnesium deficiency causing reduced milk production and health problems. Magnesium is necessary for many of the cow’s bodily functions.
