Vehicle height limit exemption for fodder hauliers

An exemption from new vehicle height limit for haulage of straw and hay as agricultural fodder has been confirmed by Transport Minister Leo Varadkar.

For others, the maximum vehicle height limit is 4.65 metres, since October 31 last.

Mr Varadkar said the reasons for the limit were rail safety, protection of infrastructure, road safety, and quality of life considerations for urban residents.
