This is mainly due to lower concentrate costs, and an increase of about 0.3% in milk protein.

The target is to get cows to grass as early as possible after calving. But pasture damage in bad weather should be avoided, and available grass monitored carefully so that the first rotation (including silage areas) will last 40 to 50 days.
