IFA official promises beef farmers ferry route to UK for live exports
He told those attending the Bord Bia Live export seminar in Tullamore, Co Offaly, that the new ferry route would be a very positive development for Irish agriculture.
Mr Burns said the new route was very welcome, with such exports likely to continue to grow next year. He said Ireland has the potential to export 150,000 to 180,000 head of calves in 2014.
