Beef prices are continuing to slowly edge upwards at the factories this week with processors anxious for stock benefiting finishers returns.

The intake of cattle slipped back slightly last week, but could benefit from a temporary boost as a result of the deterioration in the weather and increased rainfall.

Most of the factories quoted 400c/kg as a base for the steers this week.
