For chance to sell grain more profitably, the option to store is worth considering

According to Teagasc, a break-even yield of 2.3t/ac is required if selling green barley at € 170/tonne (this excludes straw and any land rental charges).

With every shed and store empty after the spring, straw demand and prices are positive.

With straw yields from 10 to 15 bales/acre, this is a very worthwhile bonus to grain returns.
