Farm pond gathering marks United Nations year of water co-operation
The two-hour gathering will start at the Village Square at 2pm and is being organised by Churchtown Historical and Heritage Society.
Noel Linehan, one of the organisers, said wetland plants and wildlife would be on view. Food scientist Brian Milton will give a talk on the importance of these plants and the role they play in improving water quality.
He will also demonstrate the link between clean water and the resultant benefits.
