Raw material from Ireland was not implicated in any of the 10 horsemeat-related cases of food adulteration reported last week and this week to the EU’s rapid alert system for food and feed.

However, Ireland was the location where frozen beef from Poland, imported via the UK, was found to be adulterated, with horse DNA measured at more than 75%.

And it was also in Ireland that frozen beef trimmings from Poland were found to be adulterated, with horse DNA at 60%-100%.
