Macra recently launched the findings of its commissioned Land Mobility and Succession in Ireland report, which confirms that despite the relatively large increase in agricultural students, the number of young farmers in the country has dropped significantly over the 10-year period up to 2010, with just 6.2% of farmers under the age of 35.
