Thankfully, we have a more settled spell of weather, which is delaying the housing of stock on most farms.

The reality for other farms is that tanks must be emptied before stock can go in, but this is a big headache for many because they still have a lot of grass on paddocks that they were unable to graze in the last five or six weeks.

This is limiting the acreage available to spread, for many. Damage of soil structure with heavy machinery must also be avoided if land is to recover from the bad year of weather we have experienced.
