Share farming could offer a way forward

This year has turned out to be a bit of a disaster for tillage farmers, especially those who rely heavily on conacre.

The reality is that many tillage farmers are looking at financial losses, revealed at the Teagasc National Tillage Forum which met recently.

These losses are estimated by inserting actual yields into the Teagasc provisional crop margin guides published earlier this year, in the accompanying table.
