Farmers entitled to protest for their piece of the cake

The reaction of ordinary farmers to IFA’s major Day of Action on Tuesday, Oct 9, will be interesting.

It is portrayed by the organisation as a protest in Dublin to highlight an tightening squeeze on farm incomes, and to send a clear message to the Government and the European Commission to fully support farming and rural communities with a full CAP budget in Europe, and to retain national funding for income-related farm schemes.

It is an opportunity for all farm families to take a stand and secure their future, says IFA president John Bryan.
