Useful revisions enhance JCB Loadalls
A 108hp (81kW) engine is standard equipment in the Agri Loadall and 526-56.
The Agri Plus has a 125hp (93kW) engine. the Agri Super has the option of a 145hp (108kW) engine which is standard in the Agri Xtra and the 550-80 Agri Plus.
All engines delivers greater torque and power and fuel savings, compared to predecessors. Reduced transmission oil levels cut churning and drag losses. Cabs have a seven-speed fan, and a safety switch to prevent machine drive being engaged without an operator at the controls.
JCB is the only leading manufacturer to have met the latest emissions standards with in-cylinder technologies alone, and no after-treatment.
Their new Ecomax engines must run on ultra-low sulphur fuels, with upgraded fuel and air filters to ensure perfect cleanliness, including a crankcase ventilation filter which will require replacement at 1,500 hour intervals. They will however use standard engine oils, unlike engines with after-treatment.
Service costs will not rise substantially. JCB dealers can recalibrate the engine for use in less emissions sensitive territories when sold on the used equipment market.
After turning off exhaust gas recirculation and reducing fuel injection pressure, the engine can run on higher sulphur fuel.
