Milk quotas to 2015 ‘unfair’ as EU production falls short

Milk quota restrictions continue to Mar 31, 2015 — unless there is some unexpected change in the minds of our EU masters.

This is very unfair when EU production is well under quota. But the sooner that farmers realise that quotas are not going away soon, the better, in order to avoid the stress and losses of the past two seasons.

Early spring milk production, which will be essential with the new pricing arrangements, should not exceed quota until 2016.
