Ireland, Germany cut milk price most in January

European Commission data shows that New Year milk price weakness was worst in Germany and Ireland, with January prices respectively 5.5% and 5.3% off the December price.

Irish milk prices in January fell to a six-month low of €33.48 per 100kg.

Values rose in only six of the EU’s 27 countries.
