Therefore it is now recommended that animals are held on the “dirty” pasture for a period of 48 hours post dosing prior to moving to “clean” pasture. Rather than treat all animals at this time, it is advisable to treat only those calves with high worm egg counts and/or low DLWG.

If clean grazing is not available, then an anthelmintic is recommended and, further monitoring approx. 8 weeks later, but less if the worm challenge is high.
