Processors or producers unwilling to give an inch

The quoted prices at factories are unchanged, and intake at the factories remains restricted.

Base prices being quoted for steers are ranging from 400 to 405 cent/kg (143p-145p/lb) and while there is pressure on some processors to get enough cattle for this week’s kill, they were very reluctant to concede much more than the quoted prices, during the opening days of this week. Whether that situation changed as the week progressed remained to be seen.
