Winter wheat: do not use triazoles at T0

Septoria tritici is widespread at moderate to high levels in winter wheat, but Teagasc strongly recommends that triazole fungicides should not be used at T0.

Trials confirmed that triazoles at T0 are no better for economic return than chlorothalonil (Bravo) alone, and are likely to reduce later Septoria tritici control on the yield-enhancing leaves. Triazoles at T0 are also likely to aggravate resistance problems which threaten to leave growers with no effective Septoria control.
