Little or no spring cereals sown up to this week

Teagasc have estimated the increase in winter cereals at 16,000 hectares (up 13% from last year).

Barley increased 25% and oilseed rape 87%, but the oats area has fallen.

Virtually no spring cereals had been sown up to this week, and only the very lightest of land was expected to be drilled in the next few weeks.
