Irish pig price is 5% off

Irish prices were unchanged this week, while increasing in Denmark by 3c/kg, 5c in Spain, 3c in France, said IFA.

Earlier, for the week ending Feb 6, the EU average price increased 3c, to €1.54, while static in Ireland, where the percentage of the EU average price dropped to 95%.

According to IFA, the big export plants here mostly quote 150 to 153 cent/kg this week, plus a 2-6 cent welfare bonus. Pork slaughterers quote from 150 to 156 cent/kg.
