A REPEAT of the spring 2011 milk delivery pattern could put Ireland in serious danger of going over quota, warns Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney.

Although deliveries were only 0.41% over quota up to the end of November, he said it was therefore incumbent upon every milk producer to exercise caution and to seek advice from Teagasc.

“Irish dairy farmers must continue to operate on the assumption that no further changes will be made to the quota arrangements agreed in the context of the CAP Health Check,” he said.
