Running local groups costs LEADER
The next biggest spending heading was €6.9m on basic services for the economy and rural population.
Spending was €3.8m for encouragement of tourism activities; €3.48m on village renewal and development; €2.68m on business creation and development; €2.38m on training and information; €1.6m on conservation and upgrading of the rural heritage; €1.14m on diversification into non-agricultural activity; €0.52m on implementing co-operation projects; and €0.27m on skill acquisition, animation and implementation of local development strategies.
