Little change in prices despite throughput of 35,800 head

CATTLE prices remained under some pressure at beef factories this week, although any change is likely to be marginal, with demand for beef staying strong.

The factories which quoted reduced prices last week generally hold these prices unchanged for this week’s kill, while others have slipped back.

On the supply side, the weekly intake may be coming close to the seasonal peak.
