FARMERS are benefiting from prices for their produce which are 12.7% higher than last year.

But Central Statistics Office figures show they are also paying 13.4% more for agricultural inputs than they did 12 months ago.

Cattle, milk and sheep prices have increased by 15.3%, 13.1% and 9.1% respectively, while potato prices fell by 36.3%.
