Minister will not consent to sale of land with large milk quota attached

Local Fine Gael TD Patrick O’Donovan brought the matter to Dáil Eireann in a question for the Minister, who pointed out that regulations bar the sale of land where the amount of attached milk quota exceeds 12,500 litres per hectare — except with the consent of the Minister.

The application failed because the ratio of 22,468 litres per hectare was almost double the regulation threshold.
