Moorepark open day offers plenty of advice on rearing

FARMERS attending the recent and very successful Moorepark open day got very good information on replacement rearing, with emphasis placed on the importance of having animals at target weights from birth to calving.

The following targets were set out at the open day:

nAt six months, the target for Holstein Friesian and Holstein Friesian x Norwegian Red crosses should be 170 kg, and 150kg for Holstein Friesian x Jersey.
