Nitrogen fertiliser prices edging higher

PRICES for nitrogen fertilisers are heading towards their record high of 2008, according to Credit Suisse.

The investment bank’s analysts have raised their forecast for ammonia prices in the Ukraine, one of the global benchmarks for the nutrient.

Credit Suisse predicts ammonia values within 8% of their record high of three years ago, following the year-on-year 40% rise in ammonia values.
