DRY weather has reduced the yield potential of many spring cereal crops, according to Teagasc.

Rainfall came too late for full yield potential recovery, said advisers in their national crop report.

As a result, many crops are thin, and not as tall as normal, and straw yields are likely to be reduced in many areas.
