Under-sowing of arable silage an option when grass scarce

DUE to the severe scarcity of grass on some farms, I feel that under-sowing a crop of arable silage on some very poor-producing areas (if docks are not a severe problem) might be a good option.

It may not be possible to get a kill of docks before spring reseeding, especially in a slow growth year such as this.

Post-emergence spray will not permanently kill docks growing from established roots; that is why pre-spraying with glyphosate is so important.
