FULL sets of maps are on the way to everyone who participated in last year’s Single Payment Scheme.

Farmers are asked to examine these maps and mark ineligible areas on them, and return the maps to the Department of Agriculture with their 2010 SPS application form, ensuring the necessary adjustments are made to the claimed areas on the application forms.

Agriculture Minister Brendan Smith said there were various reasons for issuing the maps, not least because it was essential that the department’s database of land parcels be as accurate as possible.
