Drown your sorrows

FOR those of us still hung over after St Patrick’s Day, here’s a sobering thought.

According to a recent report by the World Health Organisation, Ireland is second in the league of the world’s biggest drinkers, with Luxembourg leading the way.

Frankly, the news comes as no surprise to me. For years, I’ve been saying that we badly need to get our act together regarding our drinking habits, but alas, nobody would listen.
