Tesco’s milk so cheap farmers could sell it back at a profit

DAIRY farmers in Britain recently found a clever way to make £7.50.

Tesco’s milk so cheap farmers could sell it back at a profit

For 50p each, they were temporarily able to buy 99 two-litre packs of milk allowed per shopper online at www.tesco.com, and have it delivered.

They could then throw this milk, costing 25p a litre, into their bulk tank, and sell it back to Tesco for 28.75p per litre. The 3.75p a litre profit margin was more than most of them could make from the milk from their own cows.
