DANGEROUS contamination of an ingredient going into our food went undetected for months — despite the best efforts of a string of local and national agencies whose job it is to prevent such disasters.

They will have to do better.

Meanwhile, all those who depend on our food industry for a living will have to keep their fingers crossed and hope that everything has come out in the open, and that the “mop-up” has been successful.
