Factory lamb prices from 348 to 350 cents/kg

LAMB prices have continued to fall at factories, as another difficult week takes its toll on sheep farmers.

Factory prices have been reduced by 5 to 7 cents/kg (2p or 3p/lb), as the trade eased in Britain and on the continent in the wake of an easing in demand, and more competitively priced product.

Base prices at the factories range from 348 to 350 cents/kg (124 to 125p/lb), with the usual bonus of 5 or 6 cents/kg for quality.
