TEAGASC advisers have warned livestock farmers that the grass supply will reduce much earlier than normal if current weather conditions persist.

Already, milk supply has fallen across the country due to difficult grazing conditions, and very few crops of second cut silage had been harvested.

While problems on beef farms were not too serious, animal performance has not been as high as in previous years.
