IFA welcomed another 4c/kg price increase for pigs this week, which lifted the average pig price here to 91% of the EU-25 average.

According to IFA, prices now are led by Spain’s €1.81, followed by €1.80 in Germany, and €1.78 in Holland.

Here, export plants generally quote at 163 to 168 cent per kg, plus the welfare bonus of 2 to 6c.
