Pig prices remain the same
For the first time since mid-February, Ireland has come within 4% of the EU average, which stood at €1.45/kg for last week’s pigs.
Factory pig throughput for the week ending April 14 was 49,983, 7,876 head more than the corresponding week in 2007. The year-on-year pig kill is now running approximately 0.9% behind last year’s figure.
