Lamb factory prices stable for this month

Factory quotes on Monday ranged 354-350 cents/kg (126p-125p/lb) and remained unchanged for Tuesday’s kill.

In the marts prices have eased a little at the upper end of the scale from last week’s strong trade. The supply of lambs to the factories is now running around 8,000 head per week lower than this time last year, which should be of some benefit to holding the foundation under the trade, but the strong supply in Britain is continuing to undermine the trade for the Irish lambs in France.
