When the factories re-opened on Tuesday, the base price had slipped to 346 to 340 cents/kg (123p to 121p/lb) at all of the factories, a decline of 10 to 15 cents/kg (3p to 5p/lb) from a week earlier.

Processors blamed declining demand in France, and the return of UK lambs to the market.
